Thanks to all of you for your kind words and support. It means a ton to know that you are here for me when a feel a bit overwhelmed. I guess I really don't need to offer an explanation for why I have not blogged in a while, yet I feel so responsible for sharing that with you. It is also something to see you all continuously post and want to be a part of the action. It's like looking out the window as a sick kid home from school. All the children are out a sunny day playing and you are stuck in the house watching the world go by!! That is what it feels like at times when blogging escapes me and the rest of you press onward and upward with out me. So, that's today's heartfelt moment, now on to other programming!!
I decided to link up via Polyvore and join Long Distance Loving, Mica from Away From the Blue and Renae from Simple Sequins for some Friday fun in hopes of shaking off this hectic pace I am keeping. Please join me if you can.
I put a little collage together of things that are really me at the core and add a little fun with the graphic tote!! Don't we all have days that scream, "Drama Queen"!!?? Well, maybe I am the only one?? LOL
I love a boyfriend jean, flowy tops, the color coral is always in my closet and now on my lips no matter what Pantone says, stud earrings are timeless and booties are a fixation of mine lately. I am not sure why since I have a pair I never wear(sorry to my sister who gifted me a pair). All in all this set screams......SO ME!!!! I hope you have items and looks that you go to often that do the same for you?
Have a lovely weekend and thanks so much for hugs across the miles!!
Loving all the items you picked out, Shon. Those jeans....I die! And yeah....I think we all need that "Drama Queen" shirt.:P
ReplyDeleteHa ha...yes I was the DQ last week!! The jeans are great though, huh?

ReplyDeleteI know it. This is so in my future....I believe it!!

ReplyDeleteHi Shon! I really could not have said it better myself! I love the sick kid analogy. I constantly, constantly feel that pressure to post....and god forbid I don't....the anxiety sets in. But sometimes blogging has to take a backseat. Your/Your family's health and wellbeing are priority. Don't push yourself too hard and do whatever is within your means. Anyways, wish you all the best Shon. Now regarding this outfit, a flowy top + distressed boyfriend jeans + booties = perfect outfit!
ReplyDeleteHi Shon! I'm glad you are back. I read your last post the other day and completely understand about life being busy.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great outfit. I really like the flowy top with the jeans. I have a confession to make ... I love the look of holey jeans but can not bring myself to pay for them. I signed up for the Spring Style Challenge at getyourprettyon.com. Do you visit that blog? Loving it already...there's a fun Facebook group of girls talking about clothes.
Ha ha, thanks Stacey!! I know the boyfriend jeans are not for everyone! I am like that too with certain items...you want me to pay what for that?? LOL I keep forgetting to visit the blog to check out your fashion/styles contest.
DeleteSuch a great look! I'm all about the boyfriend jeans.
ReplyDeleteYes, me too...Which have you found are you faves so far?
Deletelove this collage, the cute blush top, the cute cut out booties and the fun tote!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel about not being able to post as often. I have only been able to post once every one or two weeks as so much going on in my home from the boys going to new schools and my husband travelling. I hope things will settle down soon so I can be more consistent because I truly enjoy blogging and vlogging. I didnt even have time to visit blogs/vlogs but somehow it was a blessing As visiting others and seeing all the activity just makes you overwhelmed at times. Taking some time off from the online world can be healthy at times.Hope things settle down for you and we'll be able to see more of you in blog land.

Nikell
Hi Shon! I could see you in this outfit looking fabulous. This top with the jeans is so cool and I love the boots too. Blogging is fun and wish I could post more often. It's all OK, maybe things will slow down soon? Blogging does take a lot of time but there's something exciting about it. I think it's the connection with other women who enjoy fashion and general generosity of fellow bloggers. It's hopeful to me, there's a lot of goodness out there in the world!

This is super cute. love that top. I would sooo wear that! I have some jeans like that but was worried they were to holey lol but looking at your set makes me think I can get away with the holes :)
ReplyDeleteLove this look. If it were nesting in your closet, I might have to drive all the way to your house just to borrow. LOVE.
ReplyDeleteOne day at a time sister. God points us to what is most important. Let your heart be full before you pour out for others to share in the joys that make your heart sing. Love ya friend! xo
