How did this happen? I sort of just pulled this look together to head out into the chilly morning air and before I knew it, I was channeling Bert and singing Chim Chim Cher-ee!!
I guess all I needed to complete the look was a smoky eye and a broom!
I love Mary Poppins and now have a strong desire to watch it this weekend!! I guess I will settle for reading the book I checked out last week instead.
Who else does this?
What movie, show, musical do you find yourself accidentally channeling?
I love the look!! To cute! I will say Sex and the City. There is nothing like putting on a great Carrie Bradshaw outfit and walking out the door feeling like you own the city! ;)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit! Love the first pic!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I adore Mary Poppins and I often say why can't I just snap my fingers to get all this stuff done. But I think my absolute fave is Alice in Wonderland. There was a movie from 1985 (yes I am old LOL) that I watched over and over again when I was a kid especially when I was home from school sick. Loved it and seriously found it on DVD and bought it to share with my nieces.

I instantly got a chimney sweep vibe, but in the best possible way :) Comfortable, but still put together — like all great outfits should be :)
ReplyDeleteI am loving that hat, and genuinely lamenting the fact that it's unlikely I'd ever be able to get my curls to fit under it properly.
Oh my gosh, I love this look! You are the cutest chimney sweep I ever saw! ;) Just wanted to pop over and say thanks for visiting/commenting on my post! And now Im your newest follower! ♥

I heart everything about this look! It's just too cute.
ReplyDeleteI like to pretend my life is a musical and will sing just about anything from "Mahogany", "Lady Sings the Blues", or "The Wiz".
Thank you! Mahoghany was my favorite movie growing up. I am not sure given some of the scenes, why my mother let me watch?? Oh well, mother and child of the 70's!! LOL
DeleteShon, how adorable are you in this outfit?!?! Lurvz it! You really rock that hat:) And I always seem to be channeling a bad 80's movie...bwahaha!
ReplyDeleteYou always look really cute! Thanks.
DeleteHaaa! One of my posts s definitely channelling gi joe.
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic as usual. Love the hat!

ReplyDeletehaha you are adorable. I am loving that blazer/jean combo on you. I've never actually watched all of Mary Poppins. I think it got too weird and my young brain didn't understand it all. Maybe I need to go back and watch it now :)

DeleteSo cute, I love the hat, looks great with your short hair. That blazer was a great find.

Thank you so much! I was actually thinking of buying a Kangol and saw this at Tar-jay for $6!! I thrifted the blazer 2 years ago while visiting family in TX. My sister became a "believer" (Goodwill)after I paid $4!!! Holla!
