Truth Is.....

It's the hardest thing for me lately...getting dressed, connecting with my busy pre-teen photographer to take photos, making old looks fresh and new again(remixing my closet) and just plain sharing with you all here.  I have been running from here to there and back again and I am breathless!!  There are so many wonderful events going on right now in our household and some sad events happening in my own family as well.  Life has been a myriad of emotions around here lately.  Oh, don't go there, as I count it all joy as the bible instructs me to according to James 1: 1-5, yet, real life still happens.  It's been a whirlwind of comings and goings.  From band concerts and clinics, to soccer tournaments, lacrosse games, band trips to Disney World, Florida, to practice here and there and everywhere.  12th birthday celebrations and fun, sleep overs, play dates, big tests and projects due, and report cards too!! I'm in 8th grade for the second time, 6th for the 3rd and 2nd for the 4th!! It's funny to think about it like that, but that's how it feels.  I have managed to crawl back to bed a time or two giving in to my body before it shuts down on me.  You know all those nasty bugs going around have a way of attacking you when you are weak.  Have you all been experiencing the "bugs" in your communities and schools?

I hope to return with the regular scheduled programming at some point, but for now I will carry on and continue reading your blogs.  You all have some wonderful ideas and things happening and I am so glad for you!  Enjoy and Happy Spring (I think it's here to stay)??!!

Everyone's been getting sick here too since winter started, and I've just been doing my aromatherapy stuff with the kids to get them through it....sigh....

  3. I know all about that. I wonder how I blog amongst all I have going on. Funny you say lacrosse, I just looked into a local fall league for my son. Registration hasn't started but I am going to let him have a go at it. I played as a child and teenager and would like to expose them to a sport that isn't so mainstream!

We have had bugs come around here this cold and flu season. Thank you Lord for sunshine and warmer days outside!

    1. I know it...thanks for the support! My kids love Lax and my oldest has decided it is her sport. While my son is good at it, he is playing Soccer at the moment. I am sure your son will love it too.

  5. hey Shon! GREAT to hear from you. Yay! You read my pink update! I love that people are seeing it but even more excited when they make a comment there, yay!!! Watch collections are funny huh? I mean how many watches does a person need, right? hahahahaha. I guess shoe collections don't make much sense either? LOL I am starting to feel almost normal now. I love to hear from you and it is great to see you on my posts. Thank you good friend!

  6. Hang in there sweet Shon. I'm guessing you will look back on this time someday in the future and these busy days will be a treasure. I'm not a mom, but I do remember these days as a child with my mom and I remember her doing so much for me. I'm looking forward to your next post when you can!

  7. sometimes you just need to step away and unplug ... even if just for a few (and for your own sanity!) yes, the blogging world continues on even when we do not post, but the nice thing is, you can always come back to it whenever you can. enjoy this time (as crazy as it may be) and i hope all is well. x

  8. Hey lady. I'm just catching up on things. Barely have time to post on my own blog. It is life. You are 100% right. It has it's ups and downs and you grow in every season. I'm so sorry things are tough right now and from your most recent posts you feel like, "the sick kid at home staring out of the window at all the kids playing." I feel like that a lot too. I totally get it. Take your time and take care of you. We will be here when you post because girl... you are awesome and wonderful and adorable! xoxoox

  9. Dear Shon,
I'm just catching up on your blog....and I must say, every blogging mom is entitled to a break now and then. I don't know if people realize how much extra work, energy, time and brain power is needed to be a mom, run a household and blog (and some moms even work out of the home while trying to do it all)!!

As with anything a break can be a very positive thing, and no one should feel "forced" into blogging. I ay you take as long a break as you need, and the blog will be here when you have time in your life to contribute. I blog while watching my 2 year old full-time and I can't IMAGINE having 3 kids!! You have such a positive attitude, it is really inspirational!

    All the best,
