#Our Project 52, #2 Morning

My morning starts off by a prayer for the day before my feet hit the floor.  It is quiet and I can't see anyone or anything that needs my immediate attention.  I pull on a ratty well loved sweatshirt from college, wash my face and brush my teeth.  I am usually looking forward to coffee, but lately tea has been the go to.  I received a little goodie bag filled with some teas from our local  tea garden for Christmas.  I have only tried the green tea and I have not had any thing so fresh and pure in a long while!  This tea was so smooth, I did not miss milk, honey or even sugar!!  It is that delicious!!  This was a welcomed treat and I hope to try more of the teas in the future.  After tea service, the morning progresses into checking for hats, gloves, lunches, farewell kisses, hugs and prayers for the children and then a load or two of laundry, Hubby and I will have a meeting of the minds before he goes to conquer the world, a run, bible study, dinner prep, errands, dog walking and cuddling, etc., etc.  There is still time to join us here and here.

Happy Friday!
What does your morning look like?
What are you doing for the weekend?

  2. My morning usually starts with a little meditation, writing in my journal, then coffee, getting my son ready for school and dropped off!

  3. Tea is growing on me. My mornings aren't as peaceful as I would like. I need to get into the habit of waking up significantly earlier than my son so I can meditate. This weekend we had some friends visit with their new baby! :-)

    1. Take it all in stride, your routine will ebb and flow as long as you have little ones growing up at different stages. I hope you enjoyed your guests?? A new baby, ahh, ooh!

  4. Warm lemon water and getting V ready for school then coffee and blog stuff followed by housework. I love morning once I'm gotten the cranky out around 10ish.

What's in the Island Green? It sounds like something else but I'll keep quiet.

    1. Yes, thought I would mix things up a bit and stretch myself. It has been so far so fun!

Try a touch of milk the next tea time and let me know how you like it.
      Enjoy!

  7. I am slowly trying to get myself off of the coffee, and people have suggested black tea. I purchased some for my son's teachers for Christmas and didn't bother to save a bag for myself.

I need to do a better job of grabbing that me time in the morning. Next week I'm going to try to wake up an hour early or at least 30 minutes to get in some quiet time.

    1. Hey, it's all baby steps with getting up early, etc. Give yourself some room to work up to that. It will all flow.

  8. I love how you start your mornings. I like the idea of praying before getting out of bed when your mind hasn't had a chance to become overwhelmed with life.

And you know I have to have my coffee...
