Thanks to all of you for your kind words and support.  It means a ton to know that you are here for me when a feel a bit overwhelmed.  I guess I really don't need to offer an explanation for why I have not blogged in a while, yet I feel so responsible for sharing that with you.  It is also something to see you all continuously post and want to be a part of the action.  It's like looking out the window as a sick kid home from school.  All the children are out a sunny day playing and you are stuck in the house watching the world go by!!  That is what it feels like at times when blogging escapes me and the rest of you press onward and upward with out me.  So, that's today's heartfelt moment, now on to other programming!! 

 I decided to link up via Polyvore and join Long Distance Loving, Mica from Away From the Blue  and  Renae from Simple Sequins for some Friday fun in hopes of shaking off this hectic pace I am keeping.  Please join me if you can.

I put a little collage together of things that are really me at the core and add a little fun with the graphic tote!! Don't we all have days that scream, "Drama Queen"!!??  Well, maybe I am the only one?? LOL

I love a boyfriend jean, flowy tops, the color coral is always in my closet and now on my lips no matter what Pantone says, stud earrings are timeless and booties are a fixation of mine lately.  I am not sure why since I have a pair I never wear(sorry to my sister who gifted me a pair).  All in all this set screams......SO ME!!!!  I hope you have items and looks that you go to often that do the same for you?

Date night: Dream Outfit

As I was putting this post together I realized that I never wear dresses when going out?  I know, shocking huh?  I guess I vaguely remember wearing them in the Spring and Summer months when it's so easy to style a Maxi and have the time of your life.  Yet, during the unpredictable freezing, rainy months you can catch me in layers and boots.  Although my last post would suggest that I have a new favorite dress that can be worn layered with boots!! Hoo-ray!! 

 When I put this set together I thought about how I would love to dress on date night, but don't.  We are in a stage of our lives where date night does not call for a sassy LBD or laser cut heels.  I could totally wear all of these items with a blazer and a great pair of Boyfriend jeans and call it a day/night.  I wanted to push myself out on a limb and dream a bit.  I also kept every thing black, but added a strong red lip!  Again, I am reaching a bit as I would probably never wear all black or a bold red lipstick/gloss.

Mr. Rogers!!

I was thinking that I might try my hand at dressing like Mr. Rogers for Halloween?  I am all about using what I have and maybe making a trip or two to my local thrift store for what's needed?  Halloween is not at all my favorite holiday, but I am getting into the spirit of things by linking up with Long Distance Loving and Simply Lulu Style.  Here's to a fun weekend as you wrap up all of your last minute details for costumes, etc.

Going out to celebrate my neighbor's birthday!!

These shorts have been on repeat this Summer as I have thrown them on in a pinch when the need hits me.  I have styled them with the T you see here, one in White and my trusty Chambray shirt.  The fit is great and so is the length as I will not go any shorter than this.  Initially, I thought about picking up another pair, but decided this pair is sufficient.  

Short and sweet!
