Spring Break/Holy Week

It is Spring Break and of course Holy Week as we draw closer to Easter Sunday.
I know that it is a weighty concept to think that a man just like you and me chose to lay his life down for us, those that acknowledge him and those that don't.
I'm just glad the story does not end there.

We have enjoyed a few days of camping with friends, s'mores, laughing, a birthday, chores ( I finally tackled that fridge) track practice, and of course sleeping in and not hitting a snooze button.  This break is exactly what we all needed to chill and regroup from our big, full lives!!  I am so grateful to all of you that take time to read, comment, follow, etc. my little blog here.

I certainly hope that you enjoy a beautiful weekend with your family and loved ones.

Luke 23: 44-46
It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining.  And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.  Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last.

#Our Project 52/ #9 In My Cup

**Disclaimer** photography is not only a skill, but an artform.  Hat tip to LaShawn and many other photographers for making it "look" easy!

Creative Setting

It was difficult holding the camera steady and pouring the creamer.

Ah, Cheers!

What's in my cup is usually water, after I have my morning coffee.  I really like coffee, ok maybe I love coffee, but not on the expert level, but more of a taste, comfort level.  I remember my first time drinking coffee as a means to bond with fellow early birds at work, it sort of became a "thing" before the day's madness commenced.  From what I remembered the coffee we drank at work was not really that great!!  This was long before I was introduced to that famous chain's coffee.  Even now it's not the actual coffee taste per se, but the coffee mixed with cream as I mentioned a few posts ago.  I'm not even too picky about the coffee I drink.  I have had some wonderful gas station...gasp...coffee and the coffee I favor now I buy at the grocer or mass retailers.  The bottom line is that hot, creamy, coffee in a pretty mug is just a little treat that I start the day with.
What's in your cup?
Happy Weekend!

#Our Project 52/Photo #3 Guilty Pleasure

Thank you all for following along it has helped my accountability to this space tremendously.  I must admit that I sort of struggled on this week's photo...Guilty Pleasure??  I mean really, what should l choose?  I thought long and hard on this and since I have curtailed some of my GP's like, the RHO series, sweets and bread, to name a few.  So, what in the world would I share with you all?  I drink tea some mornings and coffee on others.  The mornings I drink coffee I use creamer and do not add any extra sugar.  So, I started enjoying this creamer and love it!!  I don't even miss the sugar at all.  I have seen some all natural, diy recipes out there, but I am a bit too lazy to try them.  Oops, did I admit that in writing??  I might try one of these, one day soon.
  How about you?
How do you drink your coffee?
What is your guilty pleasure??

#Our Project 52, #2 Morning

My morning starts off by a prayer for the day before my feet hit the floor.  It is quiet and I can't see anyone or anything that needs my immediate attention.  I pull on a ratty well loved sweatshirt from college, wash my face and brush my teeth.  I am usually looking forward to coffee, but lately tea has been the go to.  I received a little goodie bag filled with some teas from our local  tea garden for Christmas.  I have only tried the green tea and I have not had any thing so fresh and pure in a long while!  This tea was so smooth, I did not miss milk, honey or even sugar!!  It is that delicious!!  This was a welcomed treat and I hope to try more of the teas in the future.  After tea service, the morning progresses into checking for hats, gloves, lunches, farewell kisses, hugs and prayers for the children and then a load or two of laundry, Hubby and I will have a meeting of the minds before he goes to conquer the world, a run, bible study, dinner prep, errands, dog walking and cuddling, etc., etc.  There is still time to join us here and here.

Happy Friday!
What does your morning look like?
What are you doing for the weekend?
